At one of the southernmost tables in one of the southernmost restaraunts on the face of the earth, waiters wearing black aprons over their crisp white shirts and black pants serve chicken pate with the bread. One restaraunt, even farther south, had red tablecloths, black lacquer chairs, and a gripping view of grounded wood tugboat. It was closed for a private party, but very loud speakers could be heard blaring a song from the new Red Hot Chili Peppers album. Our own restaraunt played a Bob Dylan song from his Christian period. In Egypt, they play Bob Marley all the time. What ties this world together? Tourism. Stronger than any ideology.
