Earth > Brazil > Mato Grosso do Sul > Curvo do Leque Storekeeper assists an act of defying gravity by holding up a shirt that wants to fall down, while a local boy tries to take pictures with a digital camera, perhaps for the first time ever. Curvo do Leque, roughly translated as Curve of the Leg, is a no-frills waystation for travelers in the Brazilian wetlands south of the Amazon. It is a place for pit stops, tire repairs, and even resting caravan-weary legs in an impromptu inversion.
