Photographs: Upside down for photography

Earth > Mozambique > Maputo

As noted on TheHouseIsSmall.org: "Venice Arts mentors look for ways to incorporate more than photography in the learning experience. On the first day of the project, Amelia gets some handstand alignment tips from Eugene, an avid yoga practitioner. During the project, one of the UNICEF activistas asked Eugene why he does handstands throughout the day. He told her that when you do a handstand, you have a chance to see the world from a fresh perspective, and that is very much the same kind of experience we seek as people when creating and looking at photography."
